Things to Watch out for

For the next few days we will be focusing on short a words...  Practice helping your little reader hear the short A sound.  Once your little reader can hear the short A sound, they will be ready to learn more phonics.  Do not move on or teach any other vowel sounds until your reader can hear and know the short A sound in a word.  We will slowly add in more word families and phonics based activities once your reader knows that short A sound.
