Things to Watch out for
As your child practices the word “green,” have them look carefully at the letters and find the word each time it appears in the reading.
Introduce the question mark (?) and explain that it tells us the sentence is asking a question. Have some fun exaggerating your voice when you read a question, then let your child try!
You can also practice the /g/ sound at the beginning of “green.” Ask your child to listen for /g/ and think of other words that begin with the same sound.
