Paper bags (1 per child)

Construction paper

Pink pom poms

Glue stick

Scissors

Paper Bag Mouse Puppet Craft Directions

  1. Before starting the activity with kids, cut out two brown ears (or white if you use white paper bags) and two pink ear centers. Cut out six strips of black paper to make whiskers.
  2. Set aside a set of ears, a set of whiskers, two googly eyes, a paper bag, and a pom pom for each kid.

  3. When the children are ready to make the craft, show them how to fold down the two corners of the bag and glue it so the puppet looks more mouse-like.
  4. Show the kids how to glue on the eyes, whiskers, ears, and nose to the mouse.
  5. On the flap under the mouse’s nose, you can color a red oval for a tongue, or leave it blank.

Meeghan Karle Mousaw (Madreen’s daughter) has her Master’s in Special Education. She has 7 years experience teaching children to read online. In addition, she developed a curriculum to teach children handwriting called The Handwriting Patch. With the Handwriting Patch learning is fun because children learn to draw and learn handwriting at the same time. In 2019 The Handwriting Patch curriculum became an amazon best seller the first year it was released, helping thousands of kids learn handwriting with a unique, fun method. She is mom to 6 kids, each with differently learning abilities and struggles.
